Imhotep Academy Summer Session I: 3D Printing and Biophysics
Grade Level(s): 6th – 8th Grade Students
Date(s): June 30 - July 3, 2025
Location: NC State University’s Centennial Campus
Cost: $100
Description: How do scientists design artificial organs? This camp sits at the intersection of physics, biology, and engineering, will introduce students to the cutting-edge field of biophysics and 3D printing. Students will explore how physical principles shape the biological world and about technology like custom prosthetics and bioprinted tissues. Using 3D printing and hands-on experiments, students will model biological structures, design prototypes, and 3D print their own models!
All programming will take place at The Science House on NC State University’s Centennial Campus.
