The Science House will work with schools and districts to help improve the quality of STEM instruction in areas of targeted need. See our many service options with prices below.
Service Options
- Established TSH Workshop (up to 30 teachers)
- Half day (up to 3 hours) = $1,250
- Whole day (up to 6 hours) = $2,500
- Customized TSH Workshop (up to 30 teachers)
- Half day (up to 3 hours) = $1,750
- Whole day (up to 6 hours) = $3,500
- STEM Support (e.g., coaching, consulting, model lessons, strategic planning, etc.)
- Half day (up to 3 hours) = $500
- Whole day (up to 6 hours) = $1,000
- STEM Nights (e.g., STEM Family Challenge, demonstration show)
- $1,500 per event (maximum of 200 participants for two hours of onsite service) + event materials and supplies
- Mobile STEM Lab Experiences (up to 25 students per class and a minimum of 60 minutes)
- Half day (up to 2 classes) = $1,250
- Whole day (up to 4 classes) = $2,000
TRAVEL EXPENSES: The pricing options outlined above and below do not include travel costs. Mileage expenses (charged at current university rates) will be charged for any location greater than 35 miles from the assigned TSH employee’s duty station. In addition, hotel and meal per diems will also be charged if overnight travel is required.
Package Deals
Option 1 – This package provides an average of one service day/month per academic year. This proposal provides you with the following choices:
- A maximum of 4 customized workshops for the school year (2 in the fall semester and 2 in the spring semester). Each workshop requires an average of 2 days to plan and one day for the workshop itself; therefore, 4 workshops would equal 12 days of service.
OR - 2 customized workshops for the school year and 6 days of STEM support (in-classroom coaching, consulting meetings, planning meetings, grant support, etc.).
OR - A combination of the two above not to exceed 12 days of service for the academic year.
Option 1 Cost = $13,000 (a savings of $1,000 under single-day customized service prices)
Option 2 – This package provides an average of two service days/month per academic year. This proposal provides you with the following choices:
- A maximum of 4 customized workshops (2 in the fall and 2 in the spring) and 10 days of in-county STEM support.
OR - 2 customized workshops for the school year and 16 days of in-county STEM support.
OR - A combination of the two above not to exceed 22 days of service for the academic year.
Option 2 Cost = $22,000 (a savings of $2,000 under single-day customized service prices)
Option 3 – This package provides an average of three service days/month per academic year. This proposal provides you with the following choices:
- A maximum of 6 customized workshops and 14 days of in-county STEM support.
OR - 4 customized workshops for the school year and 20 days of in-county STEM support.
OR - A combination of the two above not to exceed 32 days of service for the academic year.
Option 3 Cost = $31,000 (a savings of $4,000 under single-day customized service prices)
Option 4 – This package provides an average of four service days/month per academic year. This proposal provides you with the following choices:
- A maximum of 8 customized workshops and 18 days of in-county STEM support.
OR - 6 customized workshops for the school year and 24 days of in-county STEM support.
OR - A combination of the two above not to exceed 42 days of service for the academic year.
Option 4 Cost = $40,000 (a savings of $6,000 under single-day customized service prices)
Option 5 – BEST VALUE – This package provides an average of five service days/month per academic year. This proposal provides you with the following choices:
- A maximum of 10 customized workshops and 22 days of in-county STEM support.
OR - 8 customized workshops for the school year and 28 days of in-county STEM support.
OR - A combination of the two above not to exceed 52 days of service for the academic year.
Option 5 Cost = $48,000 (a savings of $9,000 under single-day customized service prices)
