Description:

Spark curiosity and discovery at Kyran Anderson Academy’s Exploring Chemistry Session!
This year, students will step into the role of young chemists as they explore how chemistry shapes the materials we use, the food we eat, the medicines we rely on, and the environment around us.

Through hands-on activities and engaging experiments, students will investigate chemical reactions, test the properties of everyday substances, explore mixtures and solutions, and see how real chemists solve problems in their communities. Scholars may experiment with creating safe personal care products, cleaning polluted water, designing stretchy new materials, or exploring how medicines are made—all through age-appropriate chemistry concepts that make science feel fun, tangible, and exciting.

Each day brings a new adventure where creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving come together to help students build confidence as young scientists.

All programming will take place at The Science House on NC State University’s Centennial Campus.
