Imhotep Academy: Engineering Wakanda

February 1 - February 29, 2020

The Science House, Centennial Campus, Raleigh, NC

Middle school students (current 6th, 7th and 8th graders) will use the movie Black Panther as a creative starting point to develop their own technological inventions designed to impact and improve lives on the African continent. Students will ask questions, think critically, and work together as a team at The Science House on North Carolina State University's Centennial Campus. The cost of the program is $225. Families who register before January 9 will receive a $50 discount Limited scholarships and payment plans are available. Registration will begin November 27, 2019.

Imhotep Academy: Forensic Mysteries

June 15 - 19, 2020

The Science House, Centennial Campus, Raleigh, NC

Middle school students (current 6th, 7th and 8th graders) will get hands-on training in a variety of forensic disciplines — from fingerprints to DNA, pathology to computer forensics. They'll also meet professionals working in the field today and develop an understanding of the role of forensic science as a STEM-related career. Students will ask questions, think critically, and work together as a team at The Science House on North Carolina State University's Centennial Campus. The cost of the program is $225. Families who register before May 8, 2020 will receive a $50 discount Limited scholarships and payment plans are available. Registration will begin February 24, 2020.

Kyran Anderson Academy: Forensic Mysteries

June 29 - July 3, 2020

The Science House, Centennial Campus, Raleigh, NC

For one week in the summer of 2020, rising 3-6 graders will become investigators as Kyran Anderson Academy transforms into an interactive crime scene where students will engage in various activities associated with forensics like: collecting evidence, taking fingerprints, and studying DNA. All programming will take place at The Science House on North Carolina State University’s Centennial Campus. Registration opens January 6, 2020 @ 5:00 AM and closes January 17, 2020 @ 12:00 am.

Exploring the Earth Summer Camp

June 15-19, 2020

NC State University, Raleigh, NC

Exploring the Earth is a one-week summer camp for rising high school juniors and seniors that is designed to demonstrate the excitement of geoscience majors and the opportunities for geoscience careers. Students will be exposed to research in geology, marine science and atmospheric science and will participate in research activities in each area. Camp counselors from the Marine, Earth and Atmospheric sciences department at North Carolina State University include representatives of each discipline.

Imhotep Academy: Future City Challenge & Algebra

July 6th - 10th, 2020

The Science House, Centennial Campus, Raleigh, NC

For large parts of the planet food insecurity and inequitable resources are a way of life. The development of new, better, and sustainable choices in urban planning, agriculture, and climate change mitigation are necessary to solve these problems. Middle school students (rising 6th, current 6th, 7th and 8th graders) will create and test unique solutions for these problems. Early Registration Deadline: May 8th, 2020, $175 after $225. Limited scholarships and payments plans available.
