Students actively discover the wonder of STEM through inquiry-based activities, field trips, presentations, and career exploration activities with STEM professionals. This one-week, non-residential program will be held at The Science House on Centennial Campus in June. Programming is grade specific led by North Carolina certified teachers and NC State University faculty, staff, graduate students, and upperclassmen.

Session Theme:

For one week in the summer of 2020, rising 3-6 graders will become investigators as Kyran Anderson Academy transforms into an interactive crime scene where students will engage in various activities associated with forensics like: collecting evidence, taking fingerprints, and studying DNA. They’ll use what they’ve learned to solve mysteries with their peers, and develop an understanding of forensic science along the way. All programming will take place at The Science House on North Carolina State University’s Centennial Campus.
