While teaching participants about the contributions of scientists and inventors from under-represented groups, Imhotep Academy builds self-confidence and self-esteem. Students in the Algebra Session rotate through three classes using Algebra as a tool for making sense of the world, solving problems, and modeling everyday numerical scenarios.

Session Theme:

Middle school students will learn about the skeletal muscular system and the engineering design process. Using limited materials, students will apply knowledge learned and engineering principles to build and test prosthetic models. Participants will learn about careers within the field of biomedical engineering and robotics. All programming will take place in Zoom.
